Does muffler delete add horsepower?
So for most cars, the muffler delete will not add any power. Some cars will gain some power, but generally it’s not much, usually under 5 horsepower. However, if you have a car modified for more power, and still has the stock mufflers, then you’ll have more gain.
Will no back pressure hurt my engine?
Abstract: Exhaust system components such as mufflers and exhaust aftertreatment devices are a source of engine exhaust back pressure. Increased back pressure levels can cause increased emissions, increased fuel consumption, and can negatively affect engine performance.
Whats louder muffler delete or resonator delete?
If you want a louder and lighter vehicle, you’ll be better off with the muffler delete. If you’re after a good sound and a little more power, the resonator delete is the way to go.
Does a hole in the muffler affect performance?
Degraded Engine’s Performance One major effect of hole in muffler is the degradation in the engine’s performance. The parts of the car’s engines will start working compliantly and ultimately will ruin the expected performance. This is not all, with a muffler hole, the engine will start becoming faulty very frequently.
Does straight pipe affect gas mileage?

Does exhaust affect gas mileage?
Exhausts are designed to channel fumes away from the front of the car and reduce engine noise, whilst maintaining fuel efficiency. If your car’s exhaust has a leak, this will have an impact on the pressure in the exhaust system, reducing fuel economy and leading to higher emissions.
Does drilling holes in your muffler make it louder?
Quick answer – Yes. Drilling holes in your exhaust will definitely make your car louder. By doing so, you allow some sound waves to escape before they are silenced by the muffler. It’s important to drill holes at the right location to prevent damage to the car.

Is straight pipe bad for your engine?
Increased Performance These systems reduce back pressure from the engine which allows exhaust gases to flow freely and help the engine perform without hindrances. You get better fuel economy and slightly better horsepower. However, the size of the pipe is important. You can’t just go and get a thick pipe for your car.
How much does it cost to do a muffler delete?
